All things equine are a life-long passion. Western, English, bareback, on the ground or mounted, it's all good! Standing still, or flying low. Got an extra good-minded horse and want photos on a mountain trail or in the middle of a prairie? I ride, too, so let's make it happen.
Tell me your idea!
"ME AND MY SHADOW",
Self Portrait, Rush Cole.
1989

From the time I first began photographing portraits and figures, I chafed at the limitations of working inside studios.  All those artificial lights and reflectors never resulted in the naturalness and warmth I wanted to see in all of my images.  Perhaps that is the result of having painted portraits from the age of fourteen.  Whatever the reason, I adore using only natural light and whatever shadows enhance the subject(s) and essence I am intent on expressing.
